Remote control for your Mac · dustydesk.io

Your desk gathers dust.
Your computer shouldn't.

DustyDesk keeps your Mac working while you're away — reach it, talk to it, and steer it from your phone. Local-first, key-gated, and honestly a little bit fun.

Before & after

You leave. Your desk goes quiet. It shouldn't have to.

Watch what happens when the person walks away — and what changes once the desk is only dusty, not dead.

What it does

Everything your desk does — from wherever you are.

Connect to your systems

One key-gated link reaches your Mac's screen, files, and running work — no cloud middleman holding your data.

Talk to it from anywhere

Away from your desk? Answer the prompt, type the reply, unblock the build — your computer keeps moving because you can still reach it.

Optimize your workflow

Kick off long jobs, then leave. Get a nudge when it needs you, jump in for ten seconds, and let it run again.

Safe & secure

Local-first and private: your own pairing key, no account, nothing shared until you say so. You hold the door. Remote links ride a Cloudflare tunnel and are not end-to-end encrypted — the privacy policy says exactly what that means.

The mouse, on the move

Real things people do from the couch, the car, the beach.

The remote app turns your phone into the mouse and keyboard for your Mac. A few ways that pays off:

🛋️

Answer the thing that's waiting

A dialog, a login, a "continue?" — tap in from the couch and the job you left running finishes instead of stalling overnight.

✈️

Grab a file on vacation

Forgot the deck on your desktop? Open the screen from your phone, find it, send it. Back to the beach.

🎤

Drive it from across the room

Presenting or cooking with the recipe on-screen — the phone is the pointer, the clicker, and the keyboard.

👀

Peek, then hand over the wheel

Glance at the screen, or invite someone in with a one-time link and share control together — you admit them, you can revoke.

Many machines · one phone

Every computer you run, waiting in one place.

Your machines speak up when they're stuck — a dialog, an expired login, a message to answer. DustyDesk enrols each computer, shows you which ones are waiting on you, and hands you the screen so you can take the wheel from your phone.

Being straight about one part: the step where an AI reads the notification and turns it into a plain-language task is designed but not built. Today a computer that needs you says so; it does not yet explain itself in a sentence. The download page and the privacy policy both say so too.

Illustration — sample computers and sample tasks, not live data. The buttons below demonstrate the layout; they do not reach a real machine.

What is live today: enrolling computers, seeing which ones are waiting on you, the access grants, and the session ledger — plus the full screen of the Mac you are running this on. What is not: the one-line AI summary of a task, and the live screen of a remote computer held permanently in the fleet. A remote Mac can be watched and driven today, but through a bounded remote-support session rather than a standing fleet link. Windows and Linux enrol and report in; they do not send a picture, and they say so instead of faking one.

The fun part

Here's the mouse. Wipe the dust off the desk.

Move your pointer over the panel — that's your cursor becoming the mouse. Clear the cobwebs and watch the desk light back up. (That's the whole idea, really.)

Our focus is supercharging your remote productivity.

DustyDesk keeps your own computer reachable and working while you're away from it. It's a local-first tool for you and the people you invite — not a place your data lives. You hold the key; you decide who gets in; you can pull the plug any time.
